Painting Inspiration: One of my favourite places to travel to - Brier Island. It is such a lovely place and you can go whale watching. Another favourite thing to do. Here, the whale is heading out but got caught in the lighthouse's lights.
At the far edge of Nova Scotia, the Brier Island Lighthouse stands as the westernmost sentinel of the Bay of Fundy. One of the world’s most powerful and treacherous tidal zones. Since the first light was lit in 1809, it has guided countless vessels through fog, currents, and rocky shoals, ensuring safe passage at the gateway between Fundy and the open Atlantic.
Through these same waters, whales travel on some of the longest migrations on Earth. A single whale may journey thousands of miles each year, guided not by charts or compasses, but by instincts older than memory. They return season after season, connecting distant oceans to the Bay of Fundy’s abundant feeding grounds.
Together, the lighthouse and the whale tell a story of guidance and return. One fixed in stone, the other always moving. Both remind us that navigation is more than direction. It is resilience, legacy, and the will to continue the journey.
Shipping
Shipping Details for 3 P's in a Pod Art Studio
Shipping is included for orders within Canada: this applies to original art, pottery, and photographic prints.
Original art, pottery and photographic prints are insured when shipped
Canada Post is my carrier of choice. For very large pieces, it may be more cost effective to use a different shipping service
I have no control over the shipping timeline once an order leaves the studio, but will provide a tracking code whenever possible
5x7 and 8x10 inch photographic prints or limited edition prints are shipped in stay-flat mailers or similar
Original artwork is packaged securely and shipped in cardboard boxes
Wooden crates will only be used when a cardboard box is not possible
International Orders
Due to the current high cost to ship internationally, I will need to add a shipping fee.
Any customs or VAT charges will be payable by the purchaser.
Photographic Prints or limited edition prints are created On Demand and I may be able to find a print house in your country to minimize shipping fees and/or transit time. Message me if you're interested in an Photographic Prints of any of my artwork.
